This Week's Quotation:
If you are silent, keep silent for love. If you speak, speak for love. If you correct, correct for love. If you forgive, forgive for love. May the root of love be always in you because only love can come from this root.
~ St. Augustine
Love is Everything
The thought I have firmly planted in my mind these days is that Love’s presence permeates everything. There is no more powerful thought to shift my perception when it wanders into the fields of separation.
The web of life is woven by a mystery that is not ours to understand. And much of what happens we have no control over. What is within our control is how we respond. That is what makes all the difference.
Like a tree’s roots that are solidly planted in the ground, the root of love within each of us is solidly planted, able to bend and flow with the winds of change even when everything around us is in shambles.
Love doesn’t ask that we pretend everything is always harmonious. Love does ask us to dance beyond the illusions that the shadow facets of our humanity spin. Every experience is a chance to define who we are in relationship to whatever happens. Whatever that is, we can choose love. When it comes to expressing love, the opportunities are unlimited, and we are all gifted.
Let us maintain our belief in creating heaven on earth. Since believing is seeing, let’s all wear those rose-colored glasses. As we have all experienced, where love flows, love grows. And, oh, how satisfying that experience is!
About Open Windows
We, the authors of this blog, dedicate it to the transparent exploration of the world's sacred scripture and enlightened spiritual thought. We believe that the original inspiration of all faiths comes from a common source, named and revered in a myriad of ways. With that understanding, the innumerable symbols, beliefs, and practices of faith cease to divide. They become open windows to a common reality that inspires and unifies us. We find deeper insight and nourishment in our own faith and from the expression of faith from others.
We hope these weekly quotations and meditations speak to your heart and soul.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Accept no substitute for love, love. LOVE!
Thank you!! So beautiful and important right now.
Reminds me of that old adage: “Love is the answer… What’s the question?”
This blog contains all the instruction I would ever need to lead a productive and fulfilling life. If everyone on earth would read and apply these words, what a transformed world there would be! Thank you, Terri!
Love is an attitude, “a be-attitude” that needs to be sown and nurtured with patience and humility. With time love blossoms into compassion. Narrated and shared love makes us human. So let our love exude from our individual and collective being, as it should be. Isn’t it love that makes the world go round?
This whole reading is wonderful – and this line touched me most deeply –
