This Week's Quotation:
God is the strength in which I trust. If you are trusting in your own strength, you have every reason to be apprehensive, anxious, and fearful. What can you predict or control? What is there in you that can be counted on?
A Course in Miracles, Lesson 47
True Strength
A mantra I engage throughout the day is God is the strength in which I trust. I’ve needed that reminder, given how often I observe my mind fretting about something it feels inadequate to deal with. Yet, confidence in our true strength is trusting our Beloved Creator’s strength. As individuated fractals of our Source, it is readily available within all of us. All we have to do is remember to tap into it.
As I breathe this mantra deep into the core of my being, a welcomed peace fills me up—a peace that dissolves the trivial things that occupy my mind. I find refuge and rest in that place within me where the strength of our Creator abides. A place where there is perfect peace. An oasis where there is no order of difficulty.
With every inhale, God is the strength in which I trust. With every exhale, relaxing into that trust with an Ahhhh.
To put our trust in our Creator’s strength is to put our trust in that which abides instead of that which is chaotic and unstable. We have every reason to be apprehensive when we perceive ourselves as separate, alone, and weak. Yet, most of us have been deeply conditioned to believe this about ourselves.
We live in an era of human evolution where being immersed in polarity has become a heavy weight to bear. This is because it tethers us to separation, lack, and limitation. It keeps us mired in either/or, good/bad, and right/wrong thinking. It has us perceiving problems requiring solutions instead of predicaments that welcome creative responses.
This mantra has supported me tremendously in releasing those heavy anchors. My joy to share it with you. May it support you as well!
About Open Windows
We, the authors of this blog, dedicate it to the transparent exploration of the world's sacred scripture and enlightened spiritual thought. We believe that the original inspiration of all faiths comes from a common source, named and revered in a myriad of ways. With that understanding, the innumerable symbols, beliefs, and practices of faith cease to divide. They become open windows to a common reality that inspires and unifies us. We find deeper insight and nourishment in our own faith and from the expression of faith from others.
We hope these weekly quotations and meditations speak to your heart and soul.

Thank you, Terri, for this compelling invitation to dissolve any remaining separation, and I would hope that includes our sense of separation from God.
