This Week’s Quotation:
Your task is not to seek for love but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.
~ Rumi
A Decided Heart
Knowingly or unknowingly, throughout our lifetime, we all tend to create barriers to love. Maybe as a result of heartbreak, self-judgment, or any multitude of possibilities that cause us to forget that our Creator loves us unconditionally. Because Love is who our Creator is. And since we are not separate, Love is who we are too.
My heart is decided about that. How about yours? Yet, I trip and fall and forget even with a firmly decided heart.
The other day, I saw a bumper sticker that stated, When the world pushes you to your knees, you’re in the perfect position to pray. I smiled at the truth of those words. The world certainly gives us plenty of reminders to re-center and attune to Love. I know I’ve been thrust to my knees, a prayer ever on my lips.
As a result, I deeply value all practices that support me in maintaining attunement in the God Field. I would guess you do as well because you have also discovered that the opportunities for deepening one’s seeing and knowing of Love are plentiful and truly surpass all understanding.
A practice you might appreciate is one being explored at Sunrise Ranch: tapping into the vibrational reference point. We all have experiences that remind us of the Truth throughout our lives. While the experiences that trigger our remembering are unique, we all have access to the vibrational reference point. We tap into it as elevated feeling memories that are forever accessible to us. This point is our means for reconnecting to the God Field when the gravitational pull of fear and forgetting has driven us to our knees.
With a decided heart, we re-member and are re-immersed in the Highest Love—the vibrational reference point—that reconnects and re-attunes us. Then, radiant with our shine on, we go forth to bless the world. We do not underestimate the power of a kind word, a smile, or the smallest acts of caring. We know such acts have the potential to activate the vibrational reference point in others, like a kiss from God.
About Open Windows
We, the authors of this blog, dedicate it to the transparent exploration of the world’s sacred scripture and enlightened spiritual thought. We believe that the original inspiration of all faiths comes from a common source, named and revered in a myriad of ways. With that understanding, the innumerable symbols, beliefs, and practices of faith cease to divide. They become open windows to a common reality that inspires and unifies us. We find deeper insight and nourishment in our own faith and from the expression of faith from others.
We hope these weekly quotations and meditations speak to your heart and soul.

So timely! So true! Thank you Terrie.
….. ah Rumi ! you have saved him like a great vintage wine for just the right moment. And YES to Divine bumper stickers and all those which make us think and love. Our friend Samuel said something wonderful which I think would make another great bumper sticker: “God is my strategy” 🙂 Thank you, Terri, and keep up the GOD work. Love, Tom
The words that meant the very most to me – We do not underestimate the power of a kind word, a smile, or the smallest acts of caring. Thank you
What a wonderful reminder of our heavenly connection and our true purpose. I join you in acknowledging this highest reference point as I move through my days.
Thank you!
Oh yes, a kiss from God is our highest point of reference, and reverence, in the smallest acts of kindness of all that comes into our lives to hold and enfold.
Thank you, Terri, for your beautiful words in bringing this reality forward. Love, Linda
The principal barrier to the love that is our reality is the conditioning from our youth that we are mere human beings separate from God and destined to sin. Consistently bringing love and the divine qualities of character into our daily living gradually dissolves this barrier.
