This Week's Quotation:
Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
~ Revelation 21:5
All Things Made New
As this “revelation” from the Bible foretold, all things are made new. Yet, I’ve noticed that it’s not a comfortable experience for my ego-governed personality, whose reality is primarily founded on the lies of separation and limitation.
Over the past three years, the spiritual work I've been doing has focused on uprooting those deeply entrenched lies about the truth of being that impact the quality of my life in very subtle and hard-to-identify ways.
I’ve learned that as creative beings, we are accountable for our creations in time and space and that anything we’ve judged or excluded needs to be integrated into the oneness we are. Everything in my life that I navigated in separation is being re-navigated in love.
I’ve discovered how deep-seated guilt and shame can be and how they interfere with our ability to give and receive love. Yet, God doesn’t exclude any of its creations from its love—because nothing negates the inherent divinity in all existence. I’ve come to the clarity that to deny the divinity of anything is to deny my own divinity. When I forget that Truth, I go back down the rabbit hole again.
My ego-governed personality has a tough time accepting this truth. It actively resists being subsumed by the all-inclusive True Self. It actively resists restructuring the realities it founded in separation because its identity, safety, and security were derived there.
My True Self has shown me that any choice that leads to the denial of God, while mistaken, is inherently innocent. No exceptions. Anything that results in a separating judgment from the small self is merely an opportunity to restore innocence and bring compassion, forgiveness, love, and blessings. No guilt. No shame. No blame. The True Self receives it all with Love.
While the circumstances and focus may differ, I feel we are all on this sacred journey to bring unity where there has been separation and to bring Love to what has been unloved. Behold, all things are made new—and made so through each uniquely individuated expression of the Divine that each of us is.
About Open Windows
We, the authors of this blog, dedicate it to the transparent exploration of the world's sacred scripture and enlightened spiritual thought. We believe that the original inspiration of all faiths comes from a common source, named and revered in a myriad of ways. With that understanding, the innumerable symbols, beliefs, and practices of faith cease to divide. They become open windows to a common reality that inspires and unifies us. We find deeper insight and nourishment in our own faith and from the expression of faith from others.
We hope these weekly quotations and meditations speak to your heart and soul.

When I rise from my bed every morning the first words that I speak are: “Behold, I make all things new.” And then I seek to implement this declaration throughout my day, saying good-bye to the “ego-governed personality” and constantly welcoming the “True Self.” Good to know, Terri, that we are doing this together!
Beautiful.
