This Week's Quotation:
Give the light, and the darkness will disappear by itself.
~ Desiderius Erasmus, 1500’s Catholic Priest
Mystical Power
I treasure timeless gems, like this quote from Erasmus that reminds me of our mystical power to dispel darkness by bringing the light.
When we are plugged into the unified field of Love and Light, our flame of holy remembering is lit, our mystical power activated, and we can trust that we have our shine on.
During these transformative times in human history, you may find, as I do, that you experience power interruptions—a slight discomfort, frustration, or dis-ease that, if ignored, could lead to a power outage. They are merely signs to strengthen our connection.
How do we do that? By choosing love, over and over and over again.
In any situation of darkness, it is only the light that can be lacking. It is only the shadows of forgetting that conceal the light. Love is always there, however well it may be hidden. There is divinity in all things.
To illuminate that divinity, we must work with the material at hand, knowing that nothing is impossible in the name of love. When we consciously choose love, we glow—we are a sun that shines as generously as the sun in our galaxy, dispelling the darkness born of fear and forgetting.
Cheers to you beginning and ending each day with your shine on—your magnificently unique self glowing, your mystical power engaged, contributing the light that only you can contribute!
About Open Windows
We, the authors of this blog, dedicate it to the transparent exploration of the world's sacred scripture and enlightened spiritual thought. We believe that the original inspiration of all faiths comes from a common source, named and revered in a myriad of ways. With that understanding, the innumerable symbols, beliefs, and practices of faith cease to divide. They become open windows to a common reality that inspires and unifies us. We find deeper insight and nourishment in our own faith and from the expression of faith from others.
We hope these weekly quotations and meditations speak to your heart and soul.

Thank you, Terri. Many times I ask
myself “am I healing (shining love) or harming (supporting darkness).” I strive to remember to ‘shine on’, especially in challenging situations. Thanks for the reminder!
Bringing “the shine” with you on this day, being alert to what comes to consciousness to seek to block the Light, and deliberately letting my radiance move through it all into my world. Thank you so much for your precious and powerful words.
I think we all experience occasional “power interruptions” as the turbulence in human culture continues to increase. What a wonderful reminder and incentive you provide, Terri, to maintain our focus on the Light of Love no matter what we see and feel coming out of the world.
Thanks Terri
For reminding me to ‘ Let love radiate without concern for results’
